The Cool Planet Experience is a fun, interactive climate action experience and it’s the first of it’s kind in the world! It is based within the beautiful Powerscourt House & Gardens, and the children will be immersed in the story of Ireland’s changing climate, the science behind it & discover some wonderfully innovative (& high tech) ways to reduce their carbon footprint. We look forward to an enjoyable and educational trip for all our pupils.
As part of our Green School endeavour, we will visit ‘Cool Planet Experience’ in Powerscourt Gardens on Thursday, February 7th.

Our school knitting project got off to a great start on Wednesday afternoon. All children from infants to 6th are taking part and are learning to make pom poms, cast on, knit, cast off and make simple crafts. We look forward to watching them progress over the next 8 weeks. This project is part of our School Self-Evaluation of Art. Thank you to all parents and community members who have kindly volunteered to help out. We have also arranged a visit from the '1798 Spinners' who will show us how to spin wool on a spinning wheel and make our very own drop spindles. |
