9th December: Busking, Supervalu Bunclody 1-3pm
15th December: Christmas Carol Service and Mass in the church, at 7pm 19th December: Christmas Art Activity in the school, 1-2pm 20th December: A special visitor will visit the school this morning! Younger siblings welcome. Last night, the 24th of November, the children from the Senior Room took to the stage of the National Opera House to take part in Sing Out Loud....and what a performance! Themselves along with four other schools performed a selection of songs, including a pop medley, a Disney medley, a Rock n' Roll medley, and of course a Christmas medley. One of the highlights of the night was the children performing the John Lennon classic, "Imagine", the lights in the opera house were turned down and the audience turned on the torches of their phones, a really magical scene. A great night enjoyed by all, well done to the Senior Room, you made us very proud. Warmest congratulations to Ms. Ryan and her husband on the safe arrival of their baby boy, Padraic, on Saturday morning last, the 19th November, 2016. We are delighted to say that mother and baby are doing great and we can't wait to meet him. The very best wishes from all at Catledockrell N.S.
We were very luck in school today to receive a visit from the Marshalstown/Castledockrell Camogie teams, who brought along three of their trophies and told us of their successes from the past year. We congratulate them and look forward to working closely with the local GAA club over the coming year.
I would like to sincerely thank all of the pupils, staff, parents and wider community for all of their kind words, well wishes and beautiful gifts as I begin my maternity leave. I am so thankful to be surrounded by such a wonderful school community. I look forward to seeing you all in the new year. Ms. Ryan
