We celebrated World Book Day with some fun activities; Children brought in a favourite book to read with a buddy, followed by a scavenger hunt, where the children were given lots of clues and had to find all the answers in books which were scattered throughout the school. Well done to all the children who participated. This was then followed by a World Book Day Quiz and we finished the day with a book swap, where children swapped books that they were finished with for some lovely new books; a great way to recycle and reuse. All the children went home with three World Book Day book tokens to swap or spend in the local book shop. Thanks to all the children for their enthusiasm and participation on the day. Take a look at the photos to share a piece of the fun! Wally is hiding out in Castledockrell N.S. as part of our World Book Day celebrations. All week Wally can be found in weird and wonderful places throughout the school. Find Wally and hand him in to a teacher to be in with a chance to win a prize on Thursday, 7th March-World Book Day! Happy hunting! Don't forget to bring a book for our World Book Day Book Swap tomorrow! Máirt na hInide, Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday...We all enjoyed pancakes in Castledockrell N.S. this morning.
